I review endorsement and sponsorship terms, including exclusivity, use of a player’s name and likeness, appearance commitments and termination rights. I explain the practical effect of those obligations before the agreement is signed.
I assess agreements with agents, management teams and other professional service providers, examining the authority granted, responsibilities assumed and duration of the relationship. Particular attention is paid to overlapping commitments and the consequences of termination.
When a commercial dispute or regulatory issue arises, I examine the agreement, correspondence and applicable procedure. I explain the legal position and identify the decisions and deadlines that require your attention.
